Lonsdor K518 Pro Damaged Detected Error Solution

Problem:

Lonsdor K518 Pro failed to communicate with the vehicle. I tried to do an OBD cable test using Lonsdor K518 Pro, but it said damaged detected, and the OBD cable was not detected. How can I fix it?

NOTE:

When doing OBD cable self-test, you cannot connect OBD cable with vehicle !!!

If connect OBD cable with vehicle, it will fail to do self-test and report error damaged detected on pin.

Then follow steps below to perform OBD cable self-test.

Go to OBDII function->OBDII upgrade->OBDII upgrade

This function can update OBDII program.
Before operation insert OBD cable into K518 Pro. Do not connect the other end of OBDII cable to any device.

It detects OBDII info.

OBDII upgrade operation successful.

If OBDII upgrade says OBD cable is not detected, then OBD cable is broken. Contact your dealer to send you a replacement cable or buy an OBD II cable for K518 Pro.

Check if hardware is working or not.

Then select OBDII hardware self-check.

This function need to connect the device to 12V power and make sure the device is well connected with OBD cable.
Just connect OBD cable to device, no need to connect it to vehicle OBD port.

Lonsdor K518 Pro OBD self-test completed and the hardware function is normal.
